Once your machine gets restarted run the below mentioned command in the command prompt,
VALUE: add this “/ %ANT_HOME%\bin %JAVA_HOME%\bin %PATH%”.
#SFDC ANT MIGRATION TOOL UPDATE#
Update the already existing environmental variable “PATH” as follows.
Go to Computer properties and create 2 system environmental variables as follows
You will get the folder which contains the 3 major files,.
Some files will get downloaded into your system.
Go to Setup in Salesforce, search for “Tools” and click on the Migration Tool.
Download the ANT with zip folder so that you can extract easily.
#SFDC ANT MIGRATION TOOL INSTALL#
Download the latest JDK Files and install in the C drive “Program Files”.
The 3 major files that is required to work with migration are as follows The below picture shows the graphical representation of the deployment Once you have retrieved the components from the source org, all the component files will be downloaded into your machine and stored in the path as you specified. In the above screen shot the command “ant deployUnpackaged” is used to deploy the components, which we are retrieved using the command,
ant retrieveUnpackaged : which retrieves all the mentioned components from the source org.
ant –p : which displays all the set of Targets.
The two major commands that are used in the above screen shot are:. Similarly in the above screen shot that’s marked in yellow is a command that is used to retrieve all the components that is mentioned in the package.xml. In the above screen shot, the portion that is marked in white contains all the Targets. A sample command is given in the below screen shot. ***********************************************************************ĪNT Stands for “Another Neat Tool”, this tool is used in Salesforce for migration of the components from one environment to another say for example “SIT” org to “UAT” org or DEV to SIT or even for production orgs, using the xml files that we will build which contains the required components that we want to migrate.ĪNT tool basically runs in the command prompt, we need to run the required commands to accomplish our task.
